During the farewell concert for the boyband, rapper and vocalist Nyashinski tripped and rolled on stage while performing his portion of the Sauti Sol duet, “Short and Sweet.”
When he first stepped out from behind the stage, dressed in orange jeans, a black t-shirt, and a black half-bomber jacket, Nyash seemed like he was in charge of the proceedings. He performed his part and strutted around the stage with style.
But then things took a sharp turn when he seemed to stumble, toppling over and crashing into the Sauti Sol members who raced to save him.
With incredible fortitude and spirit, he got back up fast and resumed his act, with the assistance of his partners, to finish his verse.
Nyashinski posted a brief video of the minutes leading up to and following the fall on social media, seeming to laugh off the incident despite being unfazed by it both offline and online.
“I arrived at Solfest in elegance. Greatest F**KING show ever! (emojis for laughing),” he wrote.
Despite sporadic downpours, Nyashinski’s now-viral fall occurred at the Sol Fest performance held in the Uhuru Gardens.
The first of Sauti Sol’s final concerts dubbed the “VIP Show,” was the more expensive one, with fans shelling out a hefty—and rather contentious—Ksh. 20,000 into the VIP area.
