THE US AND KENYA FINISH THEIR TRADE AGREEMENT.

A new trade pact between Kenya and the United States is being finalized. The Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement will be accelerated, according to President William Ruto and Joe Biden of the US.

The pact will promote manufacturing, expand trade and investment between the nations, and bring about job growth. In order to “provide opportunities for jobs and industrialization,” President Biden stated, the US will collaborate with Kenya and other African countries to increase investment in renewable energy and infrastructure.

The two leaders also decided to keep working closely together to secure the Horn of Africa, put an end to hostilities, and combat terrorism. People in the area will be able to live in peace and concentrate on their economic activities as a result.

On Tuesday night, the two presidents spoke on the phone.

Assuring Kenya of support for the operation, President Biden commended them for agreeing to take the helm of the multinational security support mission to Haiti.

Additionally, he praised Kenya for hosting a successful African Climate Summit. The role of technology in development, the battle against corruption, and food security in Africa were all topics of conversation between the two leaders.
