County Aggregation and Industrial Park development will unleash the industrial potential of counties across the nation.
The launch of the program, according to President William Ruto, would increase opportunities for Kenyans and spur economic growth.
At the Nyamira County Aggregation and Industrial Park’s groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, the president gave a speech.
He declared, “This project will reduce poverty in this area and create over 50,000 jobs.”
“To help farmers maximize their profits, this facility will provide cold storage and value-added facilities for bananas, avocados, coffee, and vegetables,” he stated.
President Ruto had earlier inspected the Nyansiongo Modern Market’s development in Nyansiongo, Nyamira County.
“This Market’s expansion and improvement will enable more traders to operate in a comfortable and secure environment.”
He pointed out that the government’s plan to create new markets in Keroka, Esise, Kahawa, Kemera, Ikonge, and Nyamira Town included the construction of the market.
The tarmacking of the 77-kilometer Omoringamu-Motonto, Parainye-Tabaka, Bonyancha-Nyabisiongororo, Iyabe-Nyansara, and Sengera-Nyakoiba roads was inspected by the president in Kisii.
To increase business prospects and household incomes, he remarked, “We have increased our investments in infrastructure and maintenance.”
The Mosambi-Ekerenyo Market, which will increase agricultural operations, market performance, and service delivery to Wananchi, was established by the President.
Along with MPs and MCAs headed by National Assembly Chief Whip Silvanus Osoro, the President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretaries Moses Kuria (Trade) and Ezekiel Machogu (Education), Governors Amos Nyaribo (Nyamira) and Simba Arati (Kisii), and others.
